Elections

In response to the news that Biden “selected” Harris as his VP candidate, Robert Barnes tweeted:

In order to appeal to disaffected black voters who might lean toward protest voting (Kanye) or not voting (2016), Democrats ingeniously picked the one black candidate whose parents are not from America, whose ancestors had slaves, and who spent her career locking up black men.

Which is interesting and true and all, but it’s just more piling on top of the same about the now two awful candidates. As someone downtweet from the one above wrote

It’s hard not to imagine that this is a deliberate tank job. The $64,000 question is why.

BC no one stands a chance, and these two are the most expendable? Do they ensure the largest Trump victory and thus the most unifying (good guys at work)?

To which was responded something on the order of this.

The people who cast the votes don’t decide an election, the people who count the votes do.

From that eminent democrat, Joseph Stalin. NB, the tweet used an image that I can’t/don’t want to copy-and-paste. Also there’s quite the little discussion about who actually said this first, what words were used, and when, but it doesn’t change the veracity of the statement itself).
